We were approached by the owners of this guest house near Birmingham Airport who wanted to create a designated area within the guest house where guests could use computers to access office applications and to surf the internet.
The Challenge
- Source and install 10 Laptops, all wireless plus two printers; (the customer had chosen to go for laptops rather than PCs because they also planned to hire the laptops to guests on a daily basis – away from the guesthouse)
- Design and implement a log in system that would allow guests to be given an assigned code to log in to the system and then be able to use the laptops for the period of time purchased only;
- Install a Server
- Configure the broadband connectivity including the ADSL Hub.
The Solution
The implementation took just 2 weeks to complete and according to our client the IT Room has become a huge success with its guests and a “a nice little earner!”
